More cooler spots on the sun than normal?

So I've been reading that there are two larger than normal "holes" in the sun's corona. Discovered the middle of July, they're saying normally in this stage of the polar switch there are less cooler areas on the sun. Pretty sure that has something to do with this less sunshine weird weather we're having (in Michigan anyway). Whatchall think?

Here in southern Ohio we're having lots of sunshine but cool temperatures the last week or so.  We're not getting as much rain as we were getting, in fact it's rather dry right now.
