Colonoscopy

I have never had one.  My doctor keeps asking me if I want to have one and I tell him no.  He does a test in his office, but eventually I know I am going to have to have one.

I had one done in the past, the contrast you drink and it taste like chalk but I find out if you add little ice in it would not taste super very bad. Why can't they invent better taste?

Has anyone had one lately? what do you think of the drink before? i'm on my 5th glass and I want to puke...anyone else feel that way that has had one?

Oh I feel your pain. I had my first one a few months ago and that flushout drink was horrid. They said i could mix lemonade crystal light powder into it, but that made it even worse. It tasted like pinesol. There are all different brands of meds for the colon clean out, i dont know why some docs still use those horrible powder mixes. There is one where you take a few small doses of liquid soemthing, and then 2 laxative pills. Soo much easier than a thousand gallons of nasy liquid. they also dont tell you that once you are running very light yellow, you can stop. had i known that, i could have stopped after the first 8oz mix, but instead drank the second 8oz and nearly died!  good luck to anyone who has to go through this process.

I've never had one, but my mom did and she said the drink was awful, but that it was also the worst part of the colonoscopy.

there is another way to test without an INVASIVE colonoscopy.
"a smear card" for three days.
I would NEVER get a colonoscopy.....or a mammogram....or a pap smear.
Technicians are now getting women drunk first and then giving them mammograms.
