Fantasy... well, isn't that the truth!
« on: April 23, 2013, 07:23:28 am »
Well, it appears I won the Fantasy Basketball promotion!  I am super super excited about it!!!!!  Thanks, Kohler!  I am living proof for all those who complain that they don't know about sports and can't participate- neither do I, but apparently, I guess well!  Should have gone to Vegas with that one!  What a great "fantasy" bonus this morning!

Well maybe we all should try.  I mean it is fantasy.  Even if I fantasize that my husband stopped watching men go left all the time or watch a ball go and follow it.  Who knows if I am getting paid all the better. LOL God Bless

I'm a fan of basketball but didn't play this and it's mainly because there's so many things up in the air in my opinion with fantasy basketball.  One player may be consistent but then may drop off the next week.  If you get lucky most of the players you draft if they are consistent just enough that'll help you win but congrats regardless.  I played fantasy football when they had it and won in my league and it was fun so I plan on playing next season.  It gets frustrating if you know the game and are into it and believe a player is going to perform well and then he falls flat and gets you a big fat 0 points.  lol  When football starts you should try that, it's similar but easier for newbies in my opinion than other fantasy games.

I do fantasy auto racing with the IRL but I've been told that football, basketball etc. is very time consuming and I just don't have the time for it.  I always think about doing football but then decide I shouldn't start what I can't finish.  I do plan on doing NASCAR fantasy racing but haven't done it yet.

Fantasy football is not even close to as time consuming as fantasy basketball. I play fantasy football every year and it doesn't take much time at all. A little research, but not too bad. With the fantasy basketball, you have to check every day to make sure none of your players are hurt, since there are games every day. It was way too much time and hassle for the $1 I got. My husband does fantasy Nascar and that seems to be really easy. He just goes and buys his drivers before the race and then you just hope they do good. So that one is super easy.

Well, like I said- I know nothing about basketball, really.  I signed up, picked my stuff and left it alone.  Not time consuming at all... just lucky, I guess!

You definitely got lucky. Somehow none of yours player managed to get hurt during the season. I had 3 of my good players get hurt for the season. You barely made the playoffs and your team excelled at the end.  I would have beaten you if Demarcus Cousins wouldn't have gotten benched for undisclosed reasons in the championship week.  :P  I actually hate watching professional basketball, would much rather be playing it.

Congratulations! I don't know how anyone keeps up with fantasy sports teams! I tried once and failed terribly because I never paid attention to it to do trades or switch out players. Whoops!
