Im going to BRAZIL!!!

I found out today I am going on a family vacation to BRAZIL!!! This is one of my first times out of the USA. Anybody been to brazil before? Any advice of what to see and where to go ?

The only other country I have been in is Canada and that was in 1957.  My father got a vacation and at that time we lived in NYC and we went to all the New England states and then into Canada.  Then we can down into Indiana and visited my aunt and then came to Tennessee to see all the family.  We lived in NY and NJ for 4 years while my father worked in NYC and then we moved back home to Tennessee.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

That's awesome, I have some family in Sao Paulo and one of my fraternity brothers is from there so I really want to go down and visit.

I liked Brazil.  It was so cheap. Well this was about 10 years ago so that might have changed.  Just be aware of your surroundings and don't go anywhere by yourself especially don't go into the favela's by yourself.  Try to learn a few words in Portuguese just simple hello, thank you etc.  If you know some Spanish it will help you a little.
