You're right about it being a big thing. It is not easy to make a move like that. We are accustomed to a certain way of life here and to have to change that will be a big undertaking. Although I have thought about it, I doubt I ever will.

I really love the U.S. but I've thought about living in another country.  Not permanently, though.  I've thought of a Latin American country so I can learn Spanish.  Amsterdam or some other cities in Europe also appeal to me.  In 2000, I moved from San Francisco, California to Boston, Massachusetts for school; that was almost like moving to another country!  Life in Boston and on the East Coast was definitely different from California.

I would love to live in a different country for a few years but could not imagine living elsewhere permanently.

I think the hardest part about it would be language barriers. I only speak English and a little German. I would also find it financially difficult to visit family and friends when it takes more time and money to travel to see them. I don't think that I would never consider moving out of the country but it is not something I think about. It would have to be the right reason. It is much easier to keep doing the same things rather than change it all up and move out of country.
