When I was in high school, I learned French and loved it. My dad knows Russian, so I know some Russian words. He has also taught me a couple Japanese words. All of that being said, I would love to learn Italian, not just because I love the food, but I would also like to learn some of the culture.

I took Spanish in high school, French in high school and college, and German in college.  Now starting to learn Japanese on my own so we'll see how far I can get without a classroom and a syllabus to force me to learn it.

YES!  I definitely would!  A few I would choose are Italian (because I could understand it well and speak very little).  My background is Italian and my grandmother used to speak Italian to us kids all the time.  The funniest part of it all is that she would SPEAK Italian and we kids could understand her.  When we spoke back, it was in English and SHE would understand us!  Of course, my grandmother also spoke English, but let's face it, it wasn't her native language.

The other 2 languages I would LOVE to learn are Russian and German.  I don't think German would be hard to learn.  Even though I've never spoken the language, there are times when I can actually READ it, which is strange because I've never been around the German language in my life.  (Maybe I'm a reincarnated German?  LOL!!!)

Now, Russian, I don't know how hard it would be but the language and alphabet is WAY different than anything I've seen.  I think it would be a blast learning Russian!

I would also LOVE to have Rosetta Stone to learn these languages.  I hear it's the easiest way to learn another language, however, I can't afford to buy it.  I wish it were less expensive, I would be all over it!  :)

I already know four and honestly I just wish that everyone would learn to speak the same language. I don't want to learn a new one . You can just use google translate now on your phone if you travel to another country and make it translate for you.

Google translations aren't really that great.  It just literally translates word for word so idioms and so on don't typically get translate properly.  It doesn't consider the context so it's a "dumb" translation.  My BF is a Japanese to English translator and he's shown me how bad it is.  I also know the French translations are screwed up too from trying it with web sites.
