I really don't think people should be surfing the 'Net at work, unless they're on their lunch break.  :angry7:

I have blocked a lot of sites from the computers in my front office.  Facebook, my space, u tube, Hotmail, yahoo, etc.   I'm not paying my staff to handle their personal lives on the clock.   I do understand that sometimes people have things come up though, and if someone NEEDS to do something personal - pay a bill before their cell phone gets turned off, print an email to fill out an application for something that has to be done right now, or pretty much anything that they are down to the wire on, they can come to me and ask to use my computer since it has no blocks on it.

I don't think it looks good when patients come in and see personal stuff on the front computers, and I don't want to pay people to not work.

I understand that things come up and need to be dealt with, but as far as day to day surfing for the sake of surfing, I consider stealing time just as bad as stealing product.

I do a little light surfing at work, but always try to be cautious and moderate about it, so it doesn't become an issue.

I do all of my online shopping, Fc and personal stuff at home. Many websites are blocked at work and our internet activity can be monitored.
