CAN YOU REALLY GROW CITRUS FRUIT IN TEXAS?

I saw it last year that Walmart had a lot of Lemon and Orange and other citrus fruits tree for sale but nobody really bought it ,it was just sitting there wilted and reduced the prize a lot but still didn't sell I wonder Why.I wanted to try but I'm not sure if it work because the prize per tree is not cheap.Anybody have it?

Depends on where you live. Check wit your local nursery. I know some people grow them in big fancy greenhouses also some that bring them into their houses in the fall and winter, other then that i wouldn't know.

yes you can grow citrus fruit in Texas. I live in texas and there was an ederly couple that lived across the street from my sister. Their backyard was full of citrus trees- oranges, grapefruit and some others. I've also seen lemon trees growing around

Yes I've seen some in the nursery but they are little don't have a fruit yet that's why I wonder if they really bear fruits,I'm here in the dry area so I don't know if will work but I will try to plant  this coming spring,I really love lemon put in the water and for cooking.Its  expensive to buy every time  in the stores, its really convenient if you have a tree that bear fruits of course.

Well bad thing is if  I really need to bring it inside in winter I can't do that It won't fit in my house.I think it can grow really tall.But I'm really exited to try just don't know how long it can produce fruits?

From what I heard it's possible in some parts of Texas to grow citrus.
