Haven't seen the new re-make yet, but the original (1970's I think) was terrifying.  One of those movies that was more disturbing than scary.

I read several reviews that said that all of the "good" scenes in the movie were basically shown in the trailer, & that the original version was much better because the entire premise of the movie wasn't given away by the trailer, so that it came as a surprise what the parents did.

I think I saw the older version...from the 70s. But, I prefer to watch them on my pc. Ninja video has several films and tv shows.

I seen the old version and while it may be outdated when thinking of todays standards it was an excellent movie.  To me the new movie looks like it is going to be even better, I am looking forward to seeing, I really want to see it in the theater but I think hunny and I are going to wait and rent it.

I've never heard of this one.  The one I want to see is the new X-Men one!  I can't wait to see Hugh Jackman with his shirt off again!  Grrrrr!!  LOL
