Free cruises
« on: March 18, 2013, 09:43:37 am »
I have never been on a cruise. Which is the most affordable cruise line out there? I saw someone on tv on a cruise ship, mentioning that they got the cruise offer for free. How can people get these cruises for free? Any ideas?

I have no experience with free cruises but have found a lot of 2-for-the-price-of-one or other deep discounts if you book really early.  Sign up to be on mailing lists of the cruise lines, which will let you know when they have specials.  I would recommend taking out cancellation insurance for any unexpected event that might keep you from going at the last minute; then you would be out only the cost of the insurance.

Thanks for the tip. I really appreciate that.  :)

Check out Cruise Critic.  It's a mega-site just about cruises, including info on deals.  You can find some great deals on last-minute trips.  Cruise lines need passengers, it's close to the time of the cruise, and they don't have enough people signed up.  So sometimes they offer really low prices.  It definitely helps to join one of the websites devoted to cruises.  You also get a better sense of what cruises are like, if you're new to the idea like I am.

I love to cruise, but avoid Carnival.

With all the problems cruise ships have been having lately, I'd be a little afraid to go one.  At least for awhile. :)

I do not believe in cruises for free.  You use your time, your resources, take their surveys, and then they tell you that you have to meet the boat in Florida.  It happened to me once.  Never no more. With the way cruises are turning into nightmares nowadays, I would be too wary to get on a cruise ship.  :o ??? :o

I'm booked on a 8 day Carnival cruise in late August.  My ship is the Freedom and while I don't think this one has broke down yet I'm still very concerned over the rash of Carnival mishaps as of late.  There is always a catch with anything that is "free" even if it's just a high pressure time share pitch that you have to endure.  I am thinking of calling Carnival to say that I'm backing out of my cruise because of recent incidents and see if they offer me any free upgrades to not back out. ;)

Stay away from Carnival HAHA.  I used to cruise all the time the third and fourth are really cheap too,  They treated my children like royalty.  Shop around and tell the one your really liked about your best deal they will match it.  They want your business.  God Bless

You take surveys and fill out the form sometimes you can win crews that way. I get a phone call every now and then tell me I have one free for two days and three nice to the Bama Islands. So just keep to find another will keep trying that he will find the right website. We went on a bomber crews about a year and half ago. With my sons and daughter and their spouses. I went scuba diving when the first time! I enjoyed it very much. It was my first time to go scuba diving. If I get a chance and can afford it I will get my scuba license and gold more often at flashpoint
