Save whatever battery power you have left on your laptop to occasionally look up updates on your local power situation! Also, jot down the number for National Grid just in case it's not back up by the time your laptop dies and you need to call them.

Ooh, bummer. Hope you have lots of flashlights or candles. I used to spend a lot of time in the summer in Arizona where power outages are fairly common due to the electrical storms during monsoon. You never realize how much you use electricity until you don't have it. Best of luck!
