I am not a fan of weight loss surgery.  My mother-in-law had her stomach sewn in half....she can never eat sugar again or she violently throws up and even though for the first year she lost a bunch of weight, we has gained a lot back. I just like the good old fashioned way of exercise and not as many calories but make sure they are the good ones.  Well, if you believe this is the way to go for you, I hope you eat healthy....that still makes a big difference!

A friend had his stomach stapled and he really lost a tonne of weight, but he could only eat little meals and he had a lot of gas right after he had eaten. He did not gain the weight back. Good luck to you, I hope it works well for you and that the weight loss will be breathtaking!!!!!!

I am not a fan of weight loss surgery either. The people I know that have done it have really struggled. One of the ladies was in and out of the hospital from complications for 5 months following surgery. Yeah, she looks better, but she is way sicker than she was before.

I would never do it.  I believe in seeking out the cause of health problems and curing them at that level.

I've heard celebrities talk about the side effects.  They say you can only eat tiny quantities of food, no fatty foods at all and they've experienced increased gas and even intestinal leakage (accidental elimination).

If you're truly convinced this is right for you I wish you luck and good health.  Take care.

Just be sure you are going to a really excellent doctor, not some quack who is just there to give you a good deal.  You will need follow up care for this forever.  You will have to be even more diligent about what food you consume.  Be sure it is not a bandage to cover up the real weight problem.      That said.   Good luck, I wish you the best outcome possible.

I have a friend who had it done.  He finally decided to do it after years of not being able to lose a significant amount of weight.  He also had an older brother and other close relatives die young (40, 50's, etc).  So for him it was the right decision. I didn't recognize him at first as he lost more than half his weight.

:- That just seems so unnatural to me, eating like a teaspoon of food three times a day. But, you're going to do what you want. I don't mean this post to be negative, just more concerning. Are you absolutely sure there are no other options? There are so many other HEALTHY solutions...just sayin'. Good luck and may you be overly happy with the result!
