weekend father
« on: November 27, 2012, 04:56:00 pm »
the wife and I are splitting up, and for the time being I am going to get to see my daughter on weekends and special occasions. I can't come to the house that she is going to live, and they don't even want me to know where it is. Isn't nosey family members so awesome? Hate people that can't mind their busness.

It is better to be a weekend father than a no show father. Please don't let your kid(s) down. That is  a hurt that stays with them. I know my kids are still hurting and they are 19 and 17.

That is very wrong of the mother.  A child needs their father.  If all you get is weekends then just make the most out of it.  Sorry for what you are going through.

I am a single mom of four kids and their father doesn't even know who they are we split up when they were 3, 2 and 10 months of age he has never called or attempted to see them for that matter.  Just be their for your girl and make sure she knows that you will never give up on her and just more thing you should never talk bad about a child's mother and the same for the father cause that makes things worse for the kids as the separation is going to be rough for a while.  Good luck and enjoy your child that's all you can do. Maybe the mother might come to a sense that you can have her every other week but sharing a child is hard too not for the parent but the kid I really do wish you luck as I wish my kids had their dad to see too.
