it's the stigma that they are labeled with. I was wondering because I dyed my hair blond, I started doing stupid things. Maybe it's the chemicals in the cheap hair dye. I've also known people that were brunettes that dyed their hair blond & they acted worst than the natural blonds dubbed "DUMB BLOND."

well, i know some blondes that act dumb... or are really dumb. some of which talk funny too.. like very slow. sometimes they dont get jokes. and dont know some answers that they should. somethings are just common sense.. of which i guess some people in general dont have.

hair color is a gene, and the color is inherited.
in reality, its not related to intelligence in the

I absolutely agree with you!     I am blond too, and all my life I have been "the center of the dumb-blond jokes". High school was so bad!      I still get a few jokes here or there, but they aren't that bad. All I can say, is that BLONDES HAVE MORE FUN!!      I know this for a fact! I love being blonde and wouldn't change my hair color for just a boost in my self-esteem. Other people shouldn't have control over your life, or you will just be living in their shadows.

This is really confusing. maybe there is a scientific reason for this. Even though its a stereotype,  there is a lot proving it to be right even people who are coloring thier hair blonde leaving the same results is weird. But for generations pure Caucasian  blonde blue eye people get the better end of the bargain living life stupid or not. This is not a racists comment but the truth. There is a history behind it. however still there is no good reason and still confusing.
But if blondes are constantly being called stupid they can relax a bit because it would be worst if they were Latino or African American.The stereotyping is quite off the wall.

yeah like I said I know a lot of dumb blondes, then again I know a lot of dumb brunettes and redheads as well. Most of the blondes that I know and consider dumb are fake blondes anyway and only act that way because they think it's attractive.

whether or not blondes are actually stupid, the jokes are funny.  if you're offended because you happen to have blonde hair (like i do, but i'm not sensitive) just replace the blonde with another hair color, a gender, an animal or whatever and appreciate the joke

I think some it is just a put on because they can get away with it, others i think it is the chemicals from the dye. But whenever i Have a dumb moment i always say the blonde roots are coming out.
