Work place policies

Is there anyone out there working for some company that breaks the wage and labor laws.  If you work so many hours a day, do you get a break or lunch break?  You are suppose to.  But if you ask for a break, they act like you're committing a crime or you don't get one at all.  Just want your input to see if anyone else has the problem with a company you work for.
