cell phones for or against

I think people should just stop acting stupid. Drive when your driving and text when your not driving. You cant blame cell phones for people acting stupid.

I don't have a cellphone right now, but I wish I had one for at least emergency reasons. I can't really see myself needing a smartphone although that might be helpful in the future.

I don't believe smartphones or cellphones in general create more problems, but rather the user of them. I believe it's the mindset of the person that always creates the problem. For example when people purposely cut others off, run red lights, etc. If a person really has the right thing in mind then when they get a cell phone smart or otherwise that shouldn't change. But if a person already has issues with breaking the laws/rules then the likelihood of them doing so when they get the said cellphone will be there. Just my two cents.

It is a good idea in theory, but hardly practical. I would those like to see people who cause automoible accidents, while on their phone, etc being prohibited from ever owning or using a cell phone again. Like computer hackers are banned from owning or using a computer or in some cases even operating a push button phone.
