Liver biopsy

I need to have a liver biopsy done, has anyone ever had this done before? if so did it hurt?

my dad had one a long time ago...i remember him saying it was uncomfortable but not exactly painful.   good luck to you

  No, have had a lot of surgery and other medical procedures but not a liver biopsy however I am hoping and believing that it won't be painful and that things will go well with you. Please post and let us know how things go.

Hi Cateyes1 I recently had a bladder biopsy and a uterine biopsy and had no pain at all.  It depends if they put you out or not.  I was put out for one but not the other and really didn't have much pain with either.  Good Luck to You.

It's not too painful, they knock you out too do it. And it is better to get it done and play safe then not do it and then really pay for it down the road.
