 I have that disorder where I cannot stop pulling my hair out. That is so good of you to donate your hair that way. I feel inspired to not pull my hair out now because maybe I could donate it instead.

I did it once years ago when a salon offered to cut it, then clean it up and send it in for you. I cut my hair a few years ago and never sent it in and last year again and I think I still have it in a bag somewhere. I just never get around to sending it in, shame on me!

I've donated my hair, but not to lock for love.  They don't take hair that's treated or has any grey in it (mine has grey).  When I first researched, I found out that L4L throws out 60-70% of the hair donated.  If the donated hair doesn't meet their "standards", it's gone. 

I did internet searches and found other smaller organizations that take any hair they can get, and also allow for shorter cuts (like 10 in donation).  I wanted my hair to go to places where it had a better chance of actually being used.
