Neither!! read with him instead!! As many books a day as you can! And play with him. Take him to the park. Take him on walks in nature. Teach him as much as you can right now. They grow up way too fast. Don't waste this time by sitting him in front of the tv!!

I recently started playing Battlefield 3 on my Xbox 360 and love it. I used to be a COD guy but I like the freedom Battlefield gives me. Don't know if I'll go back to the Call of Duty franchise for a while because lately the new stuff the threw into the newest games hasn't been that ground breaking. Maybe in another year or two I'll think of getting another one of their games so I'll get all of the new features at once instead of having to get it all in increments. Still like the games but right now they aren't right for me!

Wiis are more kid-friendly. 360s are for more "serious" gamers.

If you're gonna get your kid a gaming system and you have to pick between xbox 360 and wii. I would pick xbox 360 any day of the week :)
