I have seen many people use this word when complaining about not getting credited. I am not getting credited alot. Alot is not a word....it even shows up as being misspelled when you are typing. The correct use would be "a lot". Thank you...that is all.

I use to spell "a lot" as one word until I learned, many years back, that they should not be combined. From then, I spell it the correct way.

Some tend to use 'chatspeak' and spell "no one" as "noone", (which looks like 'noonie' and just shy of 'nookie' or 'nooner').

You can talk or type until your fingers drop off, some people are just going to do the bad grammar and spelling anyway.   Just saying.   LOL

That's apparently true however, as long as they don't garble it beyond recognition/interpretation, (and some do), there's little incentive to avoid lazy semi-literacy.

I think that is why I notice it. I learned that alot wasn't a word, so now I notice all the time when people use it that way.

I'm not complaining. Just thought it was funny that there were like 4 threads started using that word in the subject in the past week.
