Hodge podge
« on: June 20, 2012, 08:07:42 pm »
Things I'm thinking about right now: start of summer/longest day of year, KC/Heat, college baseball, Sandusky trial, BBQ, hot temperatures, sports news (9hr at Yankee game, including 7 straight; Phelps might try for 10 medals, but then retiring from swimming), general news....gosh, no wonder I feel tired! Comments on any of this??

I'll bite.  Seems like we're getting more temperature extremes the past few years.  Last summer was exceptionally cool - this summer thus far has been exceptionally hot.  Is global warming at work?

Based on the hurricane just sitting over Florida you may be right.

No cooking! Eat and drink cold stuff. It is summertime!

Right now I'm thinking cool thoughts: ice, ice water, iced tea, iced coffee, ice cubes.  You get the idea.  With temps hitting the 100s this weekend I'll be indulging in cold stuff every chance I get.  That and doing low-active things like reading.  Yeah, that's the ticket--a good book and a cold drink.  Too bad I can't move into the refrigerator for the summer.
