I like the Rock but man are his movies stupid.  I don't know if it's the fact that he's not a great actor or the scripts he's offered just suck.  Maybe it's a combination of both.

He think that he's a great actor and my favorite movies that he played are Fast Five and Walking Tall.

The problem with him is the same problem with Vin Diesel...they both sold their souls to disney-type family movies.  Then they made crappy movies like "The Tooth Fairy"  and "The Pacifier".  They should take lessons from Eddie Murphy about what happens when you don't read a script....you get "Pluto Nash"

"The Rock" was one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWF.  I loved to watch him.  As an actor he is OK, but not nearly as popular.

Just what I was thinking about him and Vin Diesel. They make these action movies filled with fighting and then go make a kids film. I do like family movies but not with them in there. I also felt the same with Gerard Butler he makes 300 and then goes and makes P.S. I love you. Ok I did like that that movie a lot so I guess he gets a pass.

I agree.  It seems both are taking the career path of Arnold, though I belief that both are better actors.  Both actors really need to watch what roles they take in the future.  You don't want to be typecasted as "just the action guy", nor do you want to take on a movie like Southland Tales just because it is a serious role that is offered to you.

I can't say Dwayne Johnson is a great actor, but I do enjoy some of his movies. He plays the tough guy very well. I do question of some of his choice of movies, such as the Tooth Fairy, but I can say the same about a lot of other muscle bound actors.

I really like "The Rock".  Good actor and seems to be an all around good guy.
