The Preakness
« on: May 09, 2012, 03:54:07 pm »
Well I did pick "I will have another", and Bodemeister, did not get the 3rd one but won by boxing a 2.00 ticket. Now I will look at the next one coming up in this horse race triathalon. Anyone out there up on the horses?

I watch the triple crown races every year.  Still waiting for the elusive triple crown win....maybe this year.  If I'll Have Another is able to hold off Bodemeister, then he has a pretty good chance.  Was Bodemeister the favorite in the Derby?  I wasn't clear on who was, if he was he was the first favorite in a long time to almost win, it was an awesome Derby....can't wait to see how the Preakness plays out.

Yes, I think Bodemister was one of the favorites, but seems to me there was another horse the public started betting on driving the odds down, but it did not win. I like to look at the line up when it gets close to race time. I don't think about who won before, I just look for that one odd horse that maybe one or two of the handicappers pick. Then I box an exacta with the two most favorites. Sometimes works. But I only by a 2.00 box on the three. Maybe next time I will do an exacta box and trifecta box, what the hay ?? Pun intended

Secret to winning this race. Words of wisdom from my grandfather one time when he was winning pretty good that day. I asked him what was his secret. He leaned in close so no one else could hear his secret. He said, "What you want to do is bet real heavy on the winner, and real lite on the losers", Quote un Quote. So there you go. I have never forgot those words of wisdom.
