That's what I use. It is my only high speed option, so I stick with it, but I would not recommend it if you have other choices. It is not really that fast, sometimes even slower than dialup when a lot of people are using it, and you have a 200mb download limit, so you can't watch a lot of videos. Even when I don't go over the limit, I find that You Tube videos hang up a lot, and many times they won't play at all. It is usually OK for general internet use. You have to turn off your computer's automatic updates, because that will often run out your download limit without your knowledge, and then the service gets really slow. another thing, if you do a lot of GPT sites, you'll find that some offers won't be accepted, because Hughes Net uses a proxy, anad some sites don't allow that.

I was interisted when I first started getting their offers in the mail.  Then I noticed the fine print after I called them.  You have to have good credit and if not you have to pay (a lot) for the equipment.  I am glad I read the above post.  Between the two of these I would give them a thumbs down.

It all sounds good on the front end, but if the network is overloaded or isn't maintained properly there are going to be outages and other issues.  I just got off the phone with AT&T trying to get an ongoing problem of intermittent connectivity resolved.  I had to change some settings and they are working on it in my area.  You would think in the third largest city in the US that the network would work well all of the time.  This does not even address my cell phone issues with the drops and gaps in service all over the city.  Frustrating but you just have to deal with it I guess.

I haven't tried it, not sure if its being offered in my area.  I do wonder if its cheaper than other companies who offer Hi Speed Internet.

I have seen the ads for Hughes net but have never been interested in having it to gain access to the Internet.  They are new and of course they are going to charge astronomical prices.

I've never heard of it.  We get our internet through our cable service provider.
