Life Insurance

I saw all these commercials on life insurance it dawned on me that, that is not an appropriate name to call for insurance that you paid for all your life & when you die it goes to you family members! Life insurance should be monies saved so you can live the remaining years of your life on your Life savings! Since we are living longer some past 100yrs, young people should start life saving insurance that would get them through their retirement years. Nowadays, Life insurance is dangerous especially when your love one wants you dead so he/she could live of your life insurance sooner! Anyway, I think if you're going to pay monies for some after you gone, they should rename it Death insurance! What do you think? Or what would you rename that type of life insurance?

Chris Rock suggested that all insurance policies should be called 'in case *stuff* happens insurance'.  Death is certainly going to happen however, calling a policy "Death Insurance" is probably a poor marketing tool.

Well, I WORK in the life insurance business so I can understand where you are coming from.
Most NORMAL people don't buy life insurance when they have "loved ones" who wish them dead...
Life insurance is a RESPONSIBLE way of leaving money to your beneficiary tax free. If leaving money to a loved one is a concern, then have the payments paid in INSTALLMENTS. Then they can't enjoy your money all at once!
