You should never have to feel like that in your own home. I say if you have guest coming for a short visit put them up in a hotel and make an itinerary for them that includes a show, dinner, museums, a craft show or bazaar, lunch and something historical. If it's summer you can include a picnic. A good idea for a tight budget is to take your guests out to desert after you have dinner at home. If you are creative you can set up all kinds of inexpensive things to do. They will consider themselves to have had the best time in the world. Tailor these to your budget and go home and rest. :angel11:

I don't mind for short periods of time, but overall I don't like houseguests.

My MIL is visiting for a month.  There is stress.  There is also heavy drinking involved - mine.

LOL

i love having house guests.... i love to cook and entertain people and it's really satisfying to accomplish and make people very well accomodated and being hospitable like my wife.... I can definitely say that we are good host and hostess  :D

I love having people over, too! I love to cook and entertain for my family and friends; and I think I'm the best bartender in the world, too.! ;)

I've lived alone for a long time so don't want to be bothered by other people in my house.  They're just too much trouble.  My grown grandson was here for a few days not long ago and I was ready to throttle him by the time he left.
