my son is delaid about a year and dose anyone have any good ideas to help him out

That depends on a lot of things, like how old he is, what exactly is wrong and so on.  My son has asperger's and is considered "delayed", but catches up with almost everything, and after several years of intervention in everyday life as well as in school settings you really can't tell except when trying to have a conversation with him.  Is your child in school yet?  If so, speak with the school staff-- they have things that they can set up for him, and there are also (more than likely) programs throughout your community that know how to do things also.

he was born with cranel minasotics and has ddd right know but he dosent talk olny screams and dosent walk the threapy is working but only slowly. i just great ideas i can do at home with him that will help him along

Well with all problems/disorders- they might not "clear up" all the way, and with consistent therapy and working with them, it will "relax".  My son's situation isn't as bad- and it's taken years.  We started him on school and home therapies when he was 6, he's 11 now and the results are showing well, but it's taken 5 years.  Just try to make everything consistent for example, however you do things at home do it the same was in school.  If you go on vacation, try not to disrupt a schedule as little as possible because it's the small things that count.  Sorry I don't have any real good ideas though.  I've just found that consistency works, even if it is a hard thing to do (it may not seem like it is but after a long time it is, but you get use to it).

ya it should but my son that is 19 months old has it and my 4 month has it so it is getting really hard to get help where it is needed time to take it in my own hands

Your request needs to be more specific. Two of my kids are only delayed in reading and spelling. You might say that's a lot. It really isn't because their gross motor skills are average. Their social skills are where they should be.

We use the Barton Reading and Spelling program for their reading and spelling challenges. One of my kids is really excelling. He is in 6th grade and reading the Lord of the Rings Series. He's almost caught up on his writing skills. My other son reads well, but still hates it. He sometimes still has problems reading words that aren't there or skipping prepositions. His comprehension needs some work, but his writing is up to speed now. He also used to be in speech, but graduated.

The Barton program is designed for kids with dyslexia, but will work for everyone. So, I use it on my other kids, once they turn 5, hoping to avoid the reprogramming of the reading and spelling skills that my oldest two endured.

Where do you find that reading program?  I have two kids that struggle.  One more severe than the other.  I think early intervention is the best, but you gotta start whenever you realize it's serious.

Looks like I should have heeded that warning that others posted while I was typing. Sorry you have a situation that seems hard to figure out. My kids' problems will never disappear either, but they'll learn how to cope and work around it.

I didn't start one of mine until he was in 3rd or 4th grade. I think it was 4th grade. I can't post links, but search for barton reading and spelling. I wrote about the program on Street Articles "Barton Reading and Spelling Review" because I wanted to help others understand that there is help and how the program works. Once you decide to get it, you'll probably want to buy it from some one on Ebay because it isn't cheap. I'm talking to the tune of $300/ level and there are 10 levels. Once you buy it, you can use it over and over again. I also blogged about my tips for making it last longer on my homeschooling in the burbs "info" site, not "com," because I tips are always something people need when they're buying curriculum on their own.

what is going on is that their groweth plates are fussing together Prematurely and it puts pressure on their brains my 19 month old has already had 2 type two brain surgery, and we are looking at atleast one more we are not sure how many my baby will have. but i just need web sites and things i can do that dosent coast alot because we have very little funds and ddd only dose so much

Wow, that must be hard on you having your kiddo in surgery and worrying about those growth plates. There has to be a way to help you get the medical care he needs so that he can have a bright future. At the children's hospital in CO, they have people who can help you get grants and such for major things like that. Maybe the hospital you're using can help you find a way.

we are working with the hospital but i just need things to help us at the house because we drive an hour each way three times a week but i am ok with what has been handed to us just need to find away to help my hole family deal with this, and make sure my other children arent left out. We have 6 boys all together
