Scroll locked in down position.

Had an strange thing happen tonight.

I was working a couple of sites using Firefox.  Everything seemed fine except on one window the scroll seemed to be locked in the bottom position.  I could move it up and down, but when I released it, it immediately moved to the bottom.  Could not access anything in the top of the page.

Tried closing the browser, but it had no effect.   Then it happened in another window.

The only way I resolved the problem was to shut down my computer completely and then turn it on again.  Seems to have solved that problem -- at least for the moment.

Has this happened to you?  Is there a reason for why it happened?  Is there someway to solve the problem without rebooting?
