How long would YOU go?

If you and your Mom got into an argument, how long would you go without talking to her again?....I know some will probably say "well it would depend on what the argument was about".................personaly I couldnt go but maybe a day if it were me no matter what the argument was. LIFE IS TO SHORT!!

i fight with my mom constantly.  the most we've gone really without talking after is a day.  usually its only a couple of hours though.  just way toooo much effort trying to stay angry when there's so much more important things to deal with

I guess it also depends on the relationship you have with your Mom.  For me, it could go no longer than a day.  After becoming a Mom myself, I've grown to have more respect for the woman who brought me up with lots of love and lots and lots of patience.

You are exactly right!  Life is too short!  Some people get mad, stay mad, and so on....but your MOM is your mom...I am lucky that I had a really close relationship with my mom....She passed away in 2005....Nothing is worth staying mad over....Get over it a move on is what I say.....Your mom won't be here forever...Trust me I know!!

I never had an argument with my mom that would have caused us to stop talking to each other and I'm very glad because she's gone now and I would hate to think I missed a day that I could have had.  Miss my mother forever and my dad too angel11:

My parents had a nasty divorce more than 30 years ago and I did not talk to my mom for 7 years, then I didn't talk to my dad for 7 years and I was an honor student, but my parents were nuts... now I live VERY FAR AWAY from them both...

I tend to fight a lot with my mom as well. Usually it is just from little things and it escalates to something further. I hate getting yelled at so I don't respond very well to it. Usually I go for a day or two trying to avoid her and not talk to her. Eventually, her and I act like nothing happened. Temper is harsh and quick in my family.

Thank you all for your responses, My daughter and I got into a stupid argument and it's 5 months now that she hasnt talked to me no matter how much I try to reach out to her...she ignors all my messages,  and blocked my number on her phone so I cant call UGH ...does ANYONE see anything wrong with this picture?...maybe i'm just having a pity party for myself here  ........Thank you all again

Just keep reaching out to the person; show mercy even though you don't feel it.
Do what's right. Pray for the person.
Apologize even though it wasn't your fault.

I seem to forgive people fast. My mom who is a drinker does things with out thinking and its hurtful. It usually only a few days before we speak again

if me and my mom fight about stuff no matter what we fight about the longest we not spoken is a day.Even if she just calls me and askd what im doing as her hint she wants to talk again
