Every so often my family will have breakfast for dinner.  The kids love it if I include pancakes.  Nice to have this type "dinner" when I am out of ideas and want to cook something quick and simple.

We love to cook out. Just be careful with the fire around small children. They can help bring things outside and prepare easy things like Kool Aid or Potato Chips.
