I rarely see beggars.  I can't even remember the last time I saw one.

You may think you are helping someone by giving them money, but you are just enabling them to continue to be a bum.

Well you would be surprised that some of the people who are acting like they are homeless really are not.  There was a group of women that start in the north in the summer and beg for change and stuff, and they work their way south thru the winter, they liekt o stay in the warm weather and thats how they make their living and from what the article i read said they do pretty well

I feel sorry for them more than anything. Typically it's just a case of bad circumstances and not just drugs or laziness. Sometimes even mental illness.

NOT TRUE. NOT TRUE. NOT TRUE.  It is so close to 100% of the time that it actually mathematically IS 100% that drugs and booze have caused a person to be homeless. 

You can probably tell me one story that you made up or "heard" but even if that ONE story is true.... the word "Typically" in your post is grossly inaccurate.
