This months promo game Ultimate Crush?!

So I have been trying this months new game promo ultimate crush, and I cant get the 4400 required.. I searched in the forum for tips and I saw people in the past had said take out one color first and Ive tryed that, Ive tryed taking out all but one color and linking them as best I can, I can only get to 3000ish doing that.. Does anyone have any tips? does the time matter for the scoring, or it doesnt matter if you take 30 seconds or 2 minutes as long as you finish in time?

And on a side note - I saw from people posting about this last year, that last year when this was a promo you needed 2500 - which I have gotten several times - now you need 4400.. why the huge increase!!?

Remember, the points are the square of the number of squares connected, so if you have 5 connected that is 25 points, but 10 is 100 and 20 is 400 and 40 is 1600.  To get 4400 I did my best to get a single color connected (tops or sides as diagonal doesn't work) and when I was sure I had as much as I could connected I clicked one of that color and realized I then had enough points off that single click to beat the game.  It certainly was the more difficult of these games that I played but the challenge was funner too.

I tried several times and was unable to get a score over 1500.  I have hardly ever had good luck reaching the high scores to get credit for these games.

I've tried so many times and can't even get close to 2500 let along the 4400. It's impossible! Anyone who does make it.....Please share your trick(s). The games are fun anyway, great way to pass some time.

What I do is look for a few seconds and see which color has the least, or least grouped together, and then eliminate that one color as best I can, then I decide which of the remaining colors I want to connect, then I try to connect as many of them as possible.. So far I think my highest one click was between 2000 and 3000 with my best game being not much more then 3000.. You are right the challenge is fun and I like games like this, when I was in school I remember a game built into the computers called "same game" much like this one, you choose 3,4, or 5 colors and did the same thing as this game, and I always was setting the high scores and competing with friends in that game.. its been awhile tho.
One thing I dislike this with this version of this game tho - The orange and pink colors are too much alike.. I wish they were more of a contrast like bright red instead of pink or even bright orange and bright pink instead of the faded color that they are

I know what you mean about the colors, as I am partially color blind and it made it a bit more challenging (or maybe easier I suppose depending on the layout).

You will find the games under the "paid to click" in the "flash games" section and will have instruction information there.  "paid to click" is found under either "daily" or "free offers" sections of the offer categories.

I have NO idea how people are getting over 4400 points on this one! I've done the eliminate one color at a time thing, but I think the highest I got was about 2800. This game is driving me crazy.

You want to try and connect one color so that you can eliminate all (or most) of them in a single click.  This requires strategically eliminating other colors so that you can get the primary one connected as much as possible.  In once single click of the primary I managed 4000 or more points using this method, although I consumed much time to get them connected.

WHEW I FINALLY got this one!! yesterday was deflating too, because I had my best game and got about 3600 with one click, had a bunch of the same connected, and still finished with 4334, SO CLOSE I was like 

But just now I got a little over 4000 with one click (I managed to get a BUNCH of green connected) and finished with 4800+ points and got my 50 cent bonus.

Thanks Abrupt for the advice, at the very least your responses showed me it IS possible if you stick with it!

Yup thanks again.. I had the same basic strategy as you outlined, but it was not working for me (over and over again) but seeing that you were able to beat it in the same type of way I was going at it gave me the will needed to just keep at it - and in the end it worked
