They say that's why the price went up here in Missouri and there is some pipeline somewhere that was causing out increase before that :(  Our prices have gone up 30 cents in the last 3 weeks  :crybaby2:

The night of the explosion I went straight to the gas station to top off my tank. When I got there, gas was already up by ten cents! Crazyness  :BangHead:

The real reason that gas prices are going up in the USA is that while the government has convinced us that if we use less fuel that the price of fuel will come down. While the gas companies have figured out that since our government will only tax them more if they sell more here. So now they sell refined gas to China and other countries for more than they can sell it here and avoid a lot of USA environmental taxes. That makes a shortage here and prices GO UP! I bought an electric bicycle and now they don't get a penny from me.

electrics bikes, now that is a winner, I believe in the near future, gas prices will be so high, people will start getting bikes, jobs will be lost and food will get higher. This all has to do with greed, there is no way around it.

I'm glad you posted this topic. It's interesting to hear the information that everyone has on this subject.  I had heard about the explosion, it's good no one was seriously injured.  I read an article about the rise in prices and the bend of the article was that the rise is due to "panic" buying. It will be interesting to see if the prices settle back down in a few weeks.
