Why can't we come together as a people

Until we address the things that keep us apart. Then we will never be able to come together as race of people.

There are many things that keep people from agreeing; stupidity is one of the main ones.  As Ron White mentioned, "you can't fix stupid."

Actually, your very opening statement answers your question.

Not everyone believes we were created by the same God.  Religion has lead to more wars than anything else.

I agree totally, we cannot come together in the middle it has to start at the top or the beginning.

because we forgot that we are in this world for a reason , we are created to care to each other .... never forget god

If it take for the one's who want to stop the violence to remind those who don't  as to why we are here in this life. Then so let it be that way. God did not put me here to hurt another human being.
