My first car came and left so fast I can't remember much about it.  But my second first car I named Bessie.  We always name our car and truck also!  The Nissan that I drive now, her name is Barbara Bombastic. Yes there is a relationship to Mr. Bombastic, lol.  That is if anyone here remembers him.

The only name I have had for 1 or 2 cars I owned was "Piece of Junk". I have been pretty lucky with my cars overall but, I had a 1974 Toyota Corona, they don't even make that model anymore, if that tells you anything. I never really gave any names to my cars. I think that is a little wierd giving a name to a machine.

Considering how much time people spend with their cars, and some spend more time with their cars than their spouses, don't ya think it would be a little weird for them not to have a name? ;D

Some people have cute or fancy names for their cars.  We always called our vehicles by their brand names, except for one convertible, and that was the convertible.  The rest of them have been called the Ford, chevie, etc.
yes  I call my car my mini baby ja ja ja

I am like the op and many of the posters, and always referred to the cars by brand, model, or how they performed (e.g. that piece of s**t). Cars are nothing more that a hunk of mental that get you from point a to b. I have never owned a brand new car and have no desire to.

Bah-hum bug.
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

My in-laws name all of their cars and I have to say I've always found that a little weird (but then again I find them weird!). No offense to anyone that names their cars out there, I just personally don't get it. It's a car....gets you from point A to point B. Even the car I drove in HS, which I loved (1988 Peugot), I never considered naming it. Oh well, that's just me!  ;D
