ears pierced or not?

My sister and I got ours pierced at the same time, when we were 15-16 years old. I usually wear the same, simple earrings all the time. If you don't have the desire to get your ears pierced, there's nothing wrong with that. My mother's never had hers pierced. She always quotes her mom, "God gave us enough holes in our heads!" LOL

Im 43 and have never had my ears pierced, I read somewhere that approximately 85-90 % of women have them pierced.  I am considering getting them done, but can't make up my mind if I want to bother with them or not?  Whats your feedback on ear piercing?

I have both my ears pierced twice. I have very long and thick hair which unfortunately covers them my I still want the piercing. You can't even tell thier there. I'm 46 and am considering my nose. What do you think?

I got mine done when I was 15 and I hardly ever wear earring's but the holes never close.

I had mine pierced years ago but decided to let the holes grow back. haven't gotten them re-done. my boyfriend has his ears gauged. he had been wanting to get it done and get a tattoo and did both last tax time.

My mom wears though clip on earrings. I would think that would hurt having them squeaze your earlobes just to stay on.

Out of curiosity, I tried on some clip-ons at my grandma's house once. They do hurt! That said, my mom has tried them and doesn't like how they feel (the heaviness more than anything).

I think that getting a woman's ears pierced, anytime after the age of ten, is fine.  My wife wanted to have my daughter's ears pierced when she was three.  Seriously?  How is the baby going to keep the  pierced hole clean?  Kids are always bouncing into something...now they have a hole with something dangling out of it that they can get it caught on while playing sports much less walking.  I told her that if she wanted to pierce my daughter's ears I wanted to get the word "dad" tattooed across my son's chest...end of argument!

I love having my ears pierced. I have two on my lobes and one at the top of my ear. Since I don't do tattoos, I did the ear piercings. I tried having my nose pierced twice. It didn't work out. I have bad allergies. So you can imagine how gross that was. lol! You are never too old to for anything! Do it!

I have my ears done three times on each side. I love wearing earrings. They are a great accessory when you want something small to accentuate your outfit.

I always wanted my ears pierced when I was kid, but my dad wouldn't allow me to.  I finally got them done when I was 29 and I love wearing my earrings.
