How in the world can they ban Rudolph, but leave the shows on with all the violence and killing. I think the idea of tracking down and killing others is not something better than rudolph. Get real people!!

i just heard today....they are trying to ban rudolph the red nosed raindeer from tv because poor rudolph gets bullied by the other raindeer, and gets sent away to the island of misfits because he s "different"...NOW....Iv heard it all! :o

I think they are missing the point of the show.  Who next? Frosty the snowman?

Last I heard, the story doesn't end with Rudolph being bullied - it ends with all the bullies being really impressed by him.  I think this is one more example of people being just a little too sensitive about things.

This is America. We need to remember that. Also, you have the power to turn off, tune out or go somewhere else. Just don't expect me to fall in line with those that wish to take it away.

God Bless and Merry Christmas to All!

No wonder kid's today are so weak willed ending in suicide or leaving the school b/c of bullies. How are kids going to learn anything if a simple classic like the red nose reindeer will take out b/c of the bulling issue. The parent are the ones to decide whether or not their kids should watch it. And the parent's responsibility to explain to the kids what is going on. Congress should stop being big brother over the people & do their own jobs like run the country! I think with coddling of today's kids is the reason why kids today are weak, & give up when face with difficult situations. In which there will be many. Growing up, I put up with bulling from bullies in school even put up with bulling from my own siblings. Nobody came in, not even my own parents to stop it. Dad told us to suck it up & take it, it'll make us stronger & that's it! And we did & we are stronger b/c of it. So, what makes today's kid so special or delicate that intervention is being done on the subject of bulling? What is next placing kids in their own bubble so that nobody can hurt them. So, I say big brother get the hell out of our private homes & focus on the economy! :BangHead:

Huh, that's stupid.  I agree it's a good opportunity to teach about bullying.  They would consider banning Rudolph, but they let Beauty and the Beast go on and on when it teaches little girls that if you love that beastly man enough he'll change into a prince.  And "they" wonder why our kids are screwed up.   :dontknow:
