Well, if you have blogs, you can post your link and/or banners on those.

Blogs, such as WordPress, Blogger/Blogspot, LiveJournal, etc...

Email signatures.

Forum Signatures.

On your Facebook account in the info section under websites.

On other social networking sites.

Share with your friends via email, IMs, etc...

In the links sections on Yahoo groups.  (Some won't allow links, but most will).

Any profile such as Gravatar, Cheezburger.com and many others that allow links in the profiles.

Link exchange with others, (if you have your own site).

I have troubles with referrals as well. Mostly I just tell friends. Strangers often don't believe it because they have no reason to trust that it is real since they do not know you.
