All I can say is "ouch!"... actually, I was in the Philippines a couple of weeks ago and took one of the infamous "trikes" (motorbike with a sidecar) back to my hotel after a long night of partying.  Needless to say I ended up on my butt when exiting the thing and my lower back and tailbone haven't been the same since.  I guess I can add "be careful when drinking" to your advice...

I hope that you are ok. Those ladders can get to you at times. I fell years ago but didn't get hurt. Take care of yourself.

Bless your heart.  I know that is painful.  I slipped and fell on ice about 8 years ago and broke my tailbone.  I have had trouble with it ever since.  There isn't anything they can do for a broken tailbone except let nature take its course to heal.
