Organic survey ... BEWARE !!!

Earlier this morning, I completed a $0.60 survey on GiveUsYour2Cents.  It was a survey about organic vegetable and milk products.

It was a VERY long survey (it seemed like I was answering questions for an hour !).  Well, after spending an hour answering questions and then clicking the very last click on the last page to submit my answers, I get the message "Thank you for participating in our survey today. Unfortunately, your profile does not correspond to the one we were looking for in this study. Thanks again!"

Ummmm .... HUH    

I was NOT a happy camper.

I realize that this kind of thing happens from time to time and I'm not making this post to try and slam the GiveUsYour2Cents survey folks.

I'm just giving people heads up that if they run across this survey, then RUN, don't walk away.  You might not get credit for it after completing it.

Such are the pitfalls of surveying !!!

Thanks for the warning. I hate spending 15-20 minutes answering questions and than told that I didn't qualify. Couldn't they figure that out in the first minute. It seems they get all your answers and than don't want to pay up. Bummer. I will avoid that one.

I did this same survey and got a similar answer.  I posted about it in a rant somewhere below as the survey was brutal (well to me anyways, maybe some might find it interest)...so brutal that you could tell me ahead of time you would pay $5.00 to do it and I would refuse.

Brutal ... yeah, that pretty much describes it.  It's one of the longest surveys I think I've ever taken, and only for $ 0.60 ?   

Heck, forget the $ 5.00    ... I would have settled for the $ 0.60 !!!     At least I would have gotten something out of it for all the time I spent on it.

Anyway, enough ranting ... on to the next survey !!!  BRING IT !!!

I have took this survey and I have to admit that it was really long...I was wondering when the end of it was going to come. I was getting impatience with it too...that I was going to exit the survey, but I finally completed it and I got credited for it.

that makes me so mad when that happens.  it doesn't happen to me often, but when it does, it usually seems to be a GIVE US YOUR 2 CENTS survey.

Someone on another thread said if you hit the back button and keep resubmitting at the end you'll eventually get credit. Said they did this 4 or 5 times I believe.

Yes the back button will work sometimes when this happens but not always. What is a shame is offering only 60 cents for such a looooong survey. I have taken other surveys that ended up being 1 1/2 hours just for them to say that I had timed out & to try again later. The ones with all of the small boxes where you have to put a number between 1 & 5 in each one is the worst. It takes forever & a lot of the time it doesn't credit. I usually run fast when I see that one.
