World Series
« on: October 28, 2011, 10:48:17 pm »
What a world series!! WOW is the word that comes to mind.

Game 6 was the best world series game Ive ever seen!  :o I really thought Texas had it (were one strike away in the 9th and again one strike away in the 10th of game 6), and have been going for them the whole time (from Texas here, but am more of an Astros fan tho)
But Game 6 was stolen by the Cardnals in exciting crazy fashion, and as we know the Cardnals won it all tonight!
Oh and that Kid Freese, who is from the St Louis area, is now a HERO in St Louis, and the World Series MVP, he had a hell of a postseason!

GREAT World Series this year!

Overall what a great World Series with edge of your seat finishes and a historic performance for Pujols.  I too thought Texas had game 6 and they will be stung by that game forever.  After giving up a 2 runs in the first I thought Texas had rebounded nicely but they quickly gave it back and the lack of tension at the end of the game left me wanting more.  Overall great Series and congrats to the Cardinals fans.

I must say I barely watched any of it, and by the ratings not many people did, I think baseball has lost its luster it used to have, its still fun to go to a game though.

Thats because football has taken over as Americas favorite sport, and I too like football over baseball, but I still like baseball and watch from time to time (even though my team is the Astros who were dead last this year!  :- ) and I watched the world series.
I say screw the ratings, theres no way there accurate.. only certain people have that box in there house that records what they watch and they project that as many watched per that 1 or 2 who did.. example being if I personally watched the world series or not, the rating wouldnt have changed.. if everyone I know had watched or not they wouldnt have changed, cuz I dont no anyone with that ratings box in there house... I guess they can "estimate" but theres no way its anything near exact.

I have to say I haven't watched the world series in a long time. I really enjoyed watching this one. It was awesome. Even though my team don't seem to go back anymore, I enjoyed seeing someone from our state win.

I was actually pullinig for the Rangers to win, which being an A's fan, it was very very hard to do... Not that it hurt my feeling seeing LaRussa and Big Mac win another ring but, if anyone deserves good things in MLB it is Josh Hamilton and i'm still upset the A's let Wash go to the Rangers and kept Bobo Geren... Oh well, always next year! Congrats to the Cards and all their fans!  8)
