My old comic strip.
« on: October 31, 2011, 02:33:31 pm »
I drew an old comic strip back my senior year in high school and then redrew it better a year after I graduated.  I found it again a few days ago and found that my father was right about it.  It was based on my junior American studies class and the stupid things they would say like when asked who the president of the United States was during World War II someone would blurt out, “Hitler.”  My father had said that the only people who would find it funny are the ones that know the history piece is wrong.  Well I was going through it and I got to one where one of the three main male characters was saying how his sister had died her hair from blond to brown so she wouldn’t be taken for stupid.  The second main character turns to the third main character and says, “Just look at you.  You’ve got dark brown hair and you still don’t know the Indian that lead Lewis and Clark on their expedition.”  And the third main character replies, “sure I do.  It was Pocahontas.”  I immediately thought, “wait a minute.  It’s not Pocahontas?”  After a moment I said, “that’s right.  It’s the chick on the gold dollar coin.”  I just can’t believe I did that.  I mean I totally fell for my own comic strip.  How stupid can one really get?
