is it safe to assume the apt is abandoned?

so my neighbors on the side of me live on the bottom floor of their apt and i havent seen them in weeks and not even their car. during the last storm their grill and chairs flew into their yard like a tornado had just touched down. no one has been there since and no one has picked up the stuff. it's not my responsibility to pick up their stuff so i dont do it.

It sounds like they may be gone.  I hope they didn't leave any pets behind.
