I'm so sad today

why do people have to be so unkind and only love you if you do exactly what they want you to do.... that really isn't love. 

  I agree, it really isn't.  There are alot of insecure people that only feel secure when they can control others, it makes them feel secure to think that they are "in charge".  Noone likes to be controlled, manipulated and noone should have to change themself just to please someone else.  Make yourself happy and when you're happy...those that can offer true friendship and love will find you.  Life is so much better when you are free to be yourself!!

Life is what you make it.....you need more positive people around you. Don't let your circumstances bring you down! Think of all good things that have "blessed you"  like the air that you breath, the food that you eat, the roof over your head and family and friends that can be supportive. Thank all the good things that you are greatful for....

Wow, I can really feel the love here.    I've been real depressed myself today.  I too have had a rough life and can totally relate to you TigerLilly.  It's confusing sometimes.  Go ahead and let yourself have a good cry.    Sometimes we need the release.  Let it out and find your way to a place inside where you can tell yourself "It's okay.  I'm okay.  Everything's okay."  Because right now, in this moment, which is all we really can control, it is okay.

I don't have any family near me and my only sibling is having a breakdown too.  I find solace and cheer in my kitties.    They are always a source of comfort and usually can lighten my mood.  (Except when the teenagers are getting into things they shouldn't.)  Do you have pets?

I also turn to wise teachers like Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, and Byron Katie.  Get a free download of an audio book, curl up in your favorite chair with a soothing cup of tea and listen to the wisdom of one of these great teachers.  Ahhhh.    

Sometimes doing something fun or at least active can help.  Take a walk or ride a bike.  I like to work on my genealogy.  It helps me connect to family in a greater sense.  

Don't be too quick to go to doctors, but if it's having a physical effect on your health and well-being, keeping you from working and taking care of yourself, then please seek some counseling.  You don't have to face/solve everything on your own.
