You have to do what you have to do.  At one point I moved across the world away from family then I moved closer but it was still an ocean apart.  Now and am back and I am happy to be closer but eventually I will move again.  People have to move for different reasons.  It's not unusual for people to be scattered around.

No, I don't think you should. I mean as long as you are doing what is best for your family, Im sure your mother would understand.

No, not in the least. This is a mobile society and people move constantly, especially for work. I come from a family where people think moving away is the worst thing possible and tried to put a guilt trip on me about it. In their mind, no one ever moves away, and with the carrying on you'd think I committed a crime. I wasn't thrilled to move and of course I'd rather be closer, but you do what you have to. Just keep an eye on airline comparison websites like Kayak and make plans for visits.

You have to do what's in the best interest of yourself and daughter. I know it's hard as I had to do the same when my boys were small but it all works out. Gramma's is a nice visit for a week or so in the summer and gives you alittle break.
