Sexual double Standards - Men can sleep around, but women can't

I have been watching that new show on MTV called Savage U, where Dan Savage goes to a bunch of colleges and openly discusses sex myths, sex problems, etc. If you have questions in this arena go check it out on MTV.com and get some answers from many different sources as well....

Well I do not think I am the one to even get into this.... but here goes because I just can't resist one until the world changes like children watching parents messing around, sex in almost every movie now adays, strip joints, bars, booze, and people who feel they need alot of attention to feel good about themselves adultery or cheating will never stop! I dont believe in telling someone the three words I LOVE YOU then go screw someone else I hate cheaters they should be alone but will never be that way because there is always a sucker out there to fall for his/her line! Thats my opinion. But also men think they can do it and if a woman does she is well u know

I actually agree with your friend. Generally speaking, men always have to chase the women. It goes for not just sex. I definitely don't think that you should spend money and force yourself to say nice things just to have sex. There are actually a lot of girls out there that try just as hard as men to have sex. I just don't think that sex should be highly sought. I say that "finding" that loved one is most important.

The reason this double standard exists, in my opinion, is because men do the picking but women do the choosing in a relationship. Women have most of the power when it comes to who decides when and where to have sex. Why? Men are turned on visually and therefore want it a good portion of the time but women are turned on emotionally and it takes longer. Women are ready when they feel ready and men cannot always make them feel ready. Therefore, the more men the women sleeps around with, the more choices she has made to not restrain herself and say no. She made the final decision to do it: not him.

Just bc the guy has to put more work into it doesn't make it any less sleazy..

Wait until you try using the short form of "Richard" - it's quite a literal censor program and doesn't go by context.  You may be able to write "skank", let's see ... yep, you're good to go.

It's a fairly recent innovation which became evident after someone started a "Richard" Clark r.i.p. thread last month.  I'd considered testing to see how many *bleeps* it would take to make a post unreadable however, I am not suggesting that anyone try this at home, (I'm a trained stunt-cusser and don't wish anyone to incur injuries).
