Does anyone know where I can get research on direct e-mail marketing sales? I have heard it is between 1% - 3% or  3%-5%. I tend to go with the 1%-3% but haven't found any verifiable research in the area. Anyone have any idea who came up with the number and if can be verified.

I realized 79.4% of statics are made up, but all the same finding facts would be good.
