I have been saving the tabs for years ever since there was a fund raiser for a child with cancer.  I will have quite a bit to donate to the next charity event.
Have a wonderful day!

I also donate my soda tabs to the ronald mcdonald house! it's a great charity and I think it's for every lb of soda tabs a parent gets to stay a night for free with their child who is sick  :angel11:

I used to collect them when I was a kid. My mom would tell me, I would get paid money if I gave the tabs to mcdonalds, but they didn't take it  :crybaby2:

I appreciate the thought and thanks for letting us know about this way to make a difference.  This might just be feasible for a restaurant or other such business.  I don't know the going rate for recycling cans though I have recycled a ton of scrap metal from my years in construction and made much more than most would believe. 8)

yes the going rate for aluminium cans per pound is 55 cents. in your area it might be more or less. but here it's 55 cents a pound.

Yeah, I actually used to save all the ones I came across so I could give them to grandpa's in-home nurse. She would then give them to her kid to take to school because they collected them, but they collected them to help people who couldn't afford to pay for chemotherapy.
