Do hair & face cleansers/moisturizers really work?
« on: August 29, 2011, 09:58:47 am »
Do all these hair products and face cleansers/moisturizers really work or are they just psychological?  I’ve switched from Pantene dandruff to Pantene sleek and smooth to Pantene naturals. Now while the latest product I use, Treseme Naturals, gets my hair cleaner than the Pantene products ever did I still use a detangler, a shiner, finishing spray, mousse, no frizz crème, styling gel etc. and my hair looks nowhere near as good as my grandmother’s and she just uses Johnsons Baby shampoo.  Not even a conditioner.  Same with face stuff.  I use Biore warming cleanser, pore strips, day moisturizer, eye cream, night moisturizer etc. while my grandmother has a beautiful flawless complexion and she just uses Noxzema original—that’s it.  So all this stuff we buy to get our hair and face the way we want it, does it really do it or are we just believing that it does what it claims to do?

I think some do work, but many products are just a bunch of hype and work no better than the cheap stuff.
