I think that the politicians are doing nothing but grand-standing and posturing for the upcoming election. I believe that they will come to a half-cocked solution tat will need to be revisited in April of next year and create even more headlines as we head into election time.  They won't let the crisis occur.  As for paying off our debt soon?  No way.  I think it will take at least three decades to undo what Mr. Bush flagrantly and maliciously created.
